What had been Fuuma's first impression of Tatsumi?

That he was a troublesome guy who refused to take things seriously, but he was pretty sure that Fuuma didn't mean any harm, either. Good enough company -- smart and composed, if a little too whimsical. Also, good-looking.

Van is... interested in Emil! He's clearly a protagonist strongly-intentioned warrior type. So Van is interested in... what Emil's all about, really. He would have been more actively trying to build a relationship with him, but for my limited playing times. :( But he does want to build that relationship as they go along, rather than just questioning him straight out or anything, because even though my Van here doesn't actually make a habit of inappropriately touching underage boys, he really does engage in that sort of emotional manipulation/abuse in a combination of that genuinely caring, kind personality that he once had and how it was twisted into a source of gaining power over other people.

SO YES HE WANTS TO GET TO KNOW EMIL BETTER AND ALSO MAKE EMIL LIKE HIM A LOT because that is what he does.

........Luke is going to take me a while longer. And I am going to take a shower now and (should) be getting myself to bed soon after but just. Kick me if I don't get back to answering by at least tomorrow.

But in the meanwhile, if you want to answer a question anyway before I've fully completely my end of the bargain: What were Luke's thoughts upon learning that Van was here! In camp! Alive!

I assume that when my characters aren't being actively threaded with, they are doing hilarious Tales-esque skits with people they've met before. SO EMIL THINKS THAT VAN IS PRETTY AWESOME ACTUALLY and is kind of gay for him.

AS FOR YOUR QUESTION ... well, at first Luke was kind of shocked. He'd just killed Van, freed Lorelei and then VAN'S IN CAMP? WHAT THE HELL. So he did what Luke does best, which is to say dumb things and then go what?! when people go "luke that is dumb". And hilariously, Luke kind of wants Van to go "yes, you did release Lorelei, I'm proud of my apprentice" because as much as he is building his own person, he still likes headpats okay. He just knows that he can't do that.

So instead, he's decided that this is his second chance, to make up for all the mistakes he made when dealing with Van. This time he's going to get through to Van, this time he's going to get him to admit that Luke has a point and this time he's going to get him to come home and live in a world without the Score. Like. In a way he's aware that Van was a victim as well, with the destruction of Hod. He doesn't think that excuses his actions (...see that scene where Luke punches that dude in the face after he blinds himself and then bitches about how it's Jade's fault. gg hero) but he thinks that Van could have been the fantastic mentor that Luke thought he was, and that maybe this time he can convince him to come home, make peace with Tear and atone with Luke for their actions in Akzerieuth (...which I have probably misspelled but whatever, it has a lot of vowels).

So basically Luke sees this as an opportunity to try and reach out to Van, convince him this time that their method was right, and try and take him back to Auldrant. He is doomed to failure. But this does not stop him from trying.

...and I'll wait to ask you a question until you finish with Luke's.

Van thinks that Luke is such a fool. I mean, on the plus side of things, he is also thinking of Luke as an actual human but. Luke is so stubborn that it is actually frustrating for Van if he thinks about it for too long. Luke is among the people who should most understand how much everything sucks ever. And yet he is still this dumb, hopeful puppy! Which just seems to go to show how some people will just never get it. And that's... sort of sad. THE WORLD IS SO UNFORTUNATE and gaaah there's not even anything he can try to do about it here.

....so as you can see, Luke-as-an-individual sort of gets lost in the Bigger Picture. Which is. Sort of the main gist of things. Luke is noteworthy in Van's eyes by virtue of all that he went through. But that doesn't change the fact that they're at complete ideological odds and that Van has no use for those who refuse to be convinced. (There were only two people for whom Van experienced any pain for doing what he did to them, and that was Tear and Guy. Sorry, Luke.) And Van himself is completely unrepentant, and that's not going to change.

........I think that's basically it. HAVE FUN TRYING TO CONVINCE THE BRICK WALL, LUKE.

Enjolras... Tough to say! He's not a guy for regrets. He doesn't cling to the past. He did... wish that he could have done more for Shinji Mimura (the Battle Royale kid). But it's not something that often crosses his mind, and isn't so much a regret as something that he find unfortunate.

Maladict... Wishes he had gotten in a few more coffee hang-outs with Kon. :/

Tatsumi... ...Watari everything, at this point.

Sora... YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN STUCK ON THIS ONE. Um. He would have liked to have gotten further with Argilla!?

Van... That his time in camp has been so useless. I mean, he's not giving up yet -- he's approaching it from an intellectual angle (what useful things can I learn from the meeting of all of these worlds?) in an attempt to keep himself sane (...you know what I mean). Because really, he would just be regretting his entire existence here, otherwise. (Enjolras actually used to be a little like this, but he got over it -- unlike Van, he does have hope for his return.)

SO HONESTLY. What does Sora think about Aeon and the situation in camp?

Sora is... zen out of necessity. It's just what his personality does because of his enormous confidence. Things HAVE to go right for him. That's why the situation with Aeon doesn't bother him as much as it probably should. Sora feels secure in camp -- he can play the social game with the best of them.

That being said, Sora is conscious of the fact that he has the potential of being at a serious disadvantage here, especially as people come and go and the balance of power constantly shifts. He actually... is treating Aeon pretty well, though not in any sort of obvious I--being-careful-with-you way, because that's just... smart. He has Aeon PRETTY WELL UNDER HIS CONTROL RIGHT NOW, so he's mostly refraining from doing anything that would disturb the waters and is continuing working to build up his social capital here.

...I mean, needless to say, Aeon, like most, doesn't really register as a person to Sora. He's his tool, but, thank in no small part to Spitfire, he's particularly conscious of how tools can malfunction.

Over the course of camp/canon (since we have been doing updates and all), how has Aeon's perception/opinion of Sora changed?

One one hand, Aeon thinks Sora is a dick, an even bigger one if possible. he truly sees how manipulative he can be and just what kind of facade he puts on when it suits him.

ON the other hand and as much as he hate to admit it, Aeon does think Sora's a cocky bastard but a smart one who plans ahead to make sure the advantage falls to him. And you can't help but admire that kind of brilliance.

OK. TATSUMI ON AEON.

Tatsumi likes Aeon, but in a different way than he likes... some other people. There's sort of an edge to it -- it's a lot less sentimental than how he is with his Special People. More normal, really. While Aeon is often a rich brat, which can grate on Tatsumi, Aeon is very smart, interesting and... well. Well-behaved, generally speaking, compared to most of the people he knows -- he has a normal sense of social context and knows how to deal with it appropriately. Tatsumi also gets the sense of a colder, more ruthless streak in Aeon's personality that he can relate to. Overall, Aeon is more of a person that he gets along with because of similarities than someone he is (emotionally) attracted to because of differences. And I specify "emotionally" because, well, Aeon is attractive and Tatsumi is... aware of it. But again, it's more of a harder-edged thing rather than that squishier "I YEARN TO HOLD YOU IN MY ARMS AND TAKE AWAY YOUR PAIN" or whatever thing that Tatsumi does. The fact that it is something different makes it even more... interesting, though.

VAN THINKS THAT YOU ARE TROUBLE, KID. No, seriously. He doesn't like Mukuro, but he thinks that it's probably best to remain engaged with him than to try to ignore him. He's actually sort of surprised that Mukuro's attention span has held out for so long -- he'd taken him to be much more capricious than that. But especially now that Luke is back in the picture, he'll be keeping an eye on things. Not because he cares about what Mukuro does to Luke or whatever, but he's well aware of the connection between Luke and himself, and aware of Mukuro's awareness of it, and he knows that connection always has the potential to lead Mukuro back to him for some reason. So... he doesn't like Mukuro, but he sees him a part of his life in camp.

Is it online anywhere? I've been hearing about it, but I sort of fail really hard at watching anything on television because I work most all evenings.

........I sort of fail at series, but if you haven't read/seen the play The Invention of Love by Tom Stoppard, I highly recommend it. Especially if you can see a production of it -- it can get pretty dense to read and plays are written to be seen, anyways. It's sad and funny and beautiful. It's ~intellectual~ and all, but in no way out of touch.

Five of your characters are in a boy band. Who's who? (I.e. the rebel/bad boy, the shy one, the young/innocent one, the older brother type and the heartthrob)
